Vague notes,  Cryptic calls,  Absent footfalls through tiled halls.   
Five thirty fades to eight,  Eights blends into nine,  The excuse for the absence?  The bus not on time?

Khaibit-Paragon City 3Arriving home after a rather half-hearted patrol I quickly loose myself to sleep. Not surprisingly I seem to be able to fall asleep regardless of what drama may be going on around me. So the fact that I call this little rat hole home shouldn't surprise anyone. But it does.   
- A phone rings, it issues forth a sound not unlike a bell cutting in and out as it is dropped down a flight of steps -   
I lazily pull myself across the back of the love-seat towards the end-table. Cursing the annoyance that is the phone I gently raise the receiver to my ear and simply “mew.” That should be enough of a greeting for whoever is there. Khaibit-Paragon City 3

With that I pick myself up and head back towards the area where I heard the matronly voice crying out in protest.   
"How do they always get themselves into these situations?"   
The question is answered only by the sounds of the city.   
Not in any form of a hurry I casually step over the raised ledge of the sidewalk and grimace.   
These boots were made for walking, but not in the park. Ewwey!

Khaibit and Paragon CityI wander the streets of Paragon City aimlessly, all to aware that I really should be paying more attention to what is going on out there. But then again, is it really that important?   
Over and over again I tell myself, "You're not that different. Don't worry about it! There is a place here for you." But as time goes on I grow more and more frustrated with those of my peers who seem to be without the most basic of senses.   
"Senseless eh? And here I am neglecting the few people I care for in order to be angsty and pensive. Pfft!"
